• Be courteous. Show consideration to other drivers and obey the rules of the road. If other drivers frustrate you, try not to respond harshly.
  • Never drink and drive. If you plan on consuming alcohol, designate a sober driver or consider using a taxi or public transportation instead.
  • Never use your phone while driving. Texting or talking on your phone while driving is very dangerous and is strictly prohibited in Grenada.
  • Avoid leaving valuables where they can be easily spotted. Ensure that your valuables are not in plain sight on your seats or dashboard as this may encourage theft.
  • Drive carefully and practice defensive driving. Always drive within the speed limit and try to anticipate dangerous situations to reduce the risk of collision. If you are carrying passengers, be extra cautious so as to not put their lives at risk.
  • Maintain the gap between you and the vehicle in front of you. This ensures that there is a safe stopping distance between you and the other driver.
  • Always wear your seatbelt. Wearing seatbelts significantly reduces the risk of serious injury and death in the event of a collision. Look out for your passengers’ safety by ensuring that they are wearing theirs as well.
  • Always Lock your vehicle, both while driving and while away from your car. Always close your windows when you leave your vehicle and never leave your keys in the vehicle.
  • Park in secure, well-lit areas. Always try to park in areas that discourage theft and crime and try to park as close to your destination as possible.
  • Never leave your vehicle running unattended, especially with children inside.
  • Do not resist If confronted by a carjacker. Your life is more important than your vehicle.
