Stay out of the shower or bath during ALL storms.<\/li>\n<li>Avoid going outdoors until the \u2018all clear\u2019 is given.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>After a Hurricane:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Continue listening to the radio for updates from local news organizations.<\/li>\n<li>Clean all wounds properly to prevent them from becoming infected.<\/li>\n<li>Seek medical attention for injured persons.<\/li>\n<li>Inspect your home for damage. Take pictures of damage, both of the building and its contents, for insurance purposes. <strong>DO NOT<\/strong> enter the building if there appears to be serious structural damage.<\/li>\n<li>Only use clean sterilized water for drinking and preparing food.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in community response efforts and search and rescue.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in community cleanup.<\/li>\n<li>Report damage to utilities.<\/li>\n<li>Watch out for secondary hazards such as fire, flooding etc.<\/li>\n<li>Avoid getting into contact with power lines lying on the ground.<\/li>\n<li>Report to the Grenada Electricity Services (GRENLEC) all damaged or broken poles\/wires etc. which may be seen in your area.<\/li>\n<li>Avoid driving as roads may be blocked.
